DESCRIPTION:The KAC is looking for experienced artists to teach workshops at the Kenai Art Center in 2026. \nPainting\, drawing\, clay works\, fiber\, collage\, weaving\, print making\, etc! If you love creating and teaching others how to create\, we would love to host your workshop here at the KAC. \nWorkshop artists are responsible for: \n\nPoint of sale for all workshop fees\n$45  building use fee (payable to the KAC before or on the day of the workshop)\nall workshop materials\n\nWorkshop artists keep 100% of workshop fees. The KAC will provide advertising\, tables\, chairs\, and other support items. \nIf you would like to be considered for booking a workshop with us\, please contact us via email at kenaiartcenter@gmail.com (attention Charlotte). DESCRIPTION:The Creel \nBy Kate Rich\nDirected by Jennifer Norton\nFriday February 13th. 7 Pm \n$20 Adults     $10 Youth \n“The Creel” by Kate Rich\, was written\, and is presented\, in conjunction with the exhibit “Connected” by Sharlene Cline. Her immersive installation is an exploration of our shared humanity. “The Creel” is a one act play centered around the gifts women hand down from generation to generation. In this story\, it is 1974. Ella\, a college dropout grappling with the sudden loss of her mother\, is guided by a tenacious ancestor from 1845. \nThe cast includes Rebecca Trowbridge\, Adele Person\, Deb Rowzee\, & Van Hawkins \nThis play will be performed on one night only at the Kenai Arts Center on February 13\, 2025\, at 7PM \nFor Tickets: https://pieronetheatre.ludus.com/index.php?sections=events \n

DESCRIPTION:The KPEN ArtHive is Back! What’s an arthive? It’s a global community-based art studio that provides free access to materials and welcoming spaces for self-directed creativity\, skill-sharing\, and community building.  This event will happen the second Saturday of each month from 9 am to 12 pm. Come and go as you please! \nThe KAC hosts the only ArtHive in Alaska and our purpose is to support local established and upcoming or new artists. It’s a great opportunity to create art\, get to know other artists\, and to get art guidance if you are looking for it. This event is free and open to the public.
