SUMMARY:INFUSION--Call For Art Exhibition--March 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Kenai Art Center \, the Kenai River Brewing Company and the Tuneweavers will be getting together for this 2025  juried call-for-art show and beer launch fundraiser. Every year in March the KAC and the Kenai River Brewing Company collaborate to launch a new beer and put on a great juried show. We are fortunate to have jurors Stephanie Cox\, Marco Mendoza and Jason Notter helping to put this show together. \nThis year the title of the show is INFUSION. For artists submitting artwork\, think about what INFUSION means to you creatively and visually. More info about that? Infusion is: the introduction of a new element or quality into something. A drink can be infused with an herbal extract\, or a person can be infused with happiness. A meadow can be infused with the sweet aroma of flowers or our minds can be infused with ideas and creativity. The KAC is looking for any original artwork (2-d\, 3-d\, fabric\, mixed media\, pottery\, etc) made within the last two years that hasn’t been shown in the KAC before.  Art submissions will be accepted starting Saturday February 1st through Saturday March 1st by 5 pm. All 2-d work (or any work that needs to hang) must have hanging hardware attached. All pieces must be accompanied by a KAC art entry submission form. For questions: kenaiartcenter@gmail.com. \nFirst Friday Opening Reception and new beer launch. March 7th 5 pm. Live music by the Tuneweavers. Free Event. Open to the public.

SUMMARY:SECRET GARDEN Exhibition Featuring Artists Morgan Chamberlain and Daisy Jeffords
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn our back gallery we will be featuring artists Morgan Chamberlain and Daisy Jeffords. The artists are known for both pottery and painting. They have participated in past mural shows at the Kenai Art Center and are active members of the Kenai Potters Guild. \nThe opening reception for SECRET GARDEN will coincide with the main gallery opening reception of the juried show INFUSION on March 7th 5 pm. The SECRET GARDEN  show will run from Wednesday March 5th through Friday March 28th\, closing at 5 pm. \n————————About The Artists———————— \nMorgan Chamberlain \nMorgan is a member of the Kenai Potters Guild and is a multi-dimensional and multi-talented artist who has participated in mural shows and multiple other art events at the Kenai Art Center. \n \nDaisy Jeffords  \nI am a potter with 12 years of experience. I am inspired by the wildflowers of Alaska and my garden. I have a background in functional ceramics from studying at Brigham Young University of Idaho where I honed my skills and techniques to create pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing\, but also serve a practical purpose. I love teaching\, learning\, and experimenting with different styles. As a mother of two\, I find joy in creating pieces that reflect the beauty of nature and bring a touch of the outdoors into my everyday family life. My work is a blend of passion for pottery and a deep love for the natural world\, creating pieces that are both unique and timeless. \n \n
