DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThe Silent Art Auction is back in full force for OCTOBER 2026!  \nThe Silent Auction opens at our First Friday Opening Reception October 2nd 5–7 pm. \nThe largest annual fundraiser for the Kenai Art Center is just around the corner. The Kenai Art Center is 100% funded by private donors and we couldn’t exist without this support.  \nThe KAC staff has handpicked and invited your favorite KAC artists and Kenai Potters Guild potters to participate by donating unique and original art for the month of October.  \nThe Silent Auction bidding starts October 2nd at the First Friday Opening Reception.     \n This year we are collaborating with the Kenai Potters Guild and will be auctioning off beautiful pottery crafted by the potters and decorated by KAC artists.  \nVisit the gallery often during the month to place your bids on the bid sheet next to the silent auction art works\, right up until October  30th!     \nThis fundraiser supports the Kenai Art Center’s workshops\, programs\, and preservation of our historic old town Kenai building.  Many thanks to everyone for supporting and  participating! \nMore details coming soon! \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The KPEN ArtHive is Back! What’s an arthive? It’s a global community-based art studio that provides free access to materials and welcoming spaces for self-directed creativity\, skill-sharing\, and community building.  This event will happen the second Saturday of each month from 9 am to 12 pm. Come and go as you please! \nThe KAC hosts the only ArtHive in Alaska and our purpose is to support local established and upcoming or new artists. It’s a great opportunity to create art\, get to know other artists\, and to get art guidance if you are looking for it. This event is free and open to the public. SUMMARY:CERAMIC JACK-O-LANTERN WORKSHOP with Artist Anna Widman
DESCRIPTION:Join artist Anna Widman as she teaches the skills of hand building a ceramic jack-o-lantern! \nSaturday October 10th 12:30 pm \nWorkshop Details: \nIn this beginner friendly workshop\, participants will learn how to make one hollow ceramic jack-o-lantern (or 2 if time allows) . Anna will focus on sharing instruction regarding hand-building with creative design. Participants will learn how to build their piece and choose a topical finish.
