Charlotte Coots
Executive Director
In my earlier years, I studied fine and visual art at Evergreen State College and finished my studies at Cal State University San Marcos in Visual and Performance Art in 2001.
I moved to Alaska in 2004 and immediately appreciated the absence of freeway gridlock and noise and began enjoying the open and uncrowded beaches in Kenai. First living in Homer, then Nikiski and finally settling in Kenai, I was introduced to the Kenai Art Center at the first mural show in 2019. I was inspired when meeting local artists and appreciated their support and creative energy. As a participating artist in the mural show I made a personal commitment to create as much art as possible. I am an active acrylic painter with a special interest in dreamscapes.
I am looking forward to continuing the Kenai Art Center mission of showcasing Kenai Peninsula artists and supporting the creative efforts, cultural awareness and artistic engagement of our local community .
