On View July 1st through July 31st 2021
First Thursday Opening Reception: July 1st, 5-8pm
Kicking off our first exhibition of 2021 is the always exciting work of the Kenai Potter’s Guild. The local potters/students participating in this year’s show are Laura Faeo, Shannon Olds, Bryan Olds, Mark Farnsworth, Sandy Campbell, Lisa Franzmann, Susan Baraniecki, Martha Landess, Carol Padgett, Kimberly Lorentzen, Kris Shine, and Debbie Adamson.
From the Kenai Potters’ Guild:
The Kenai Potters’ Guild has been a working studio in Old Town Kenai for about 48 years, and will continue to provide artistic opportunities and “winter therapy” for many years to come. This year our pottery show will be in gallery for the month of July, and with 115 pieces of wheel-thrown, hand-built, slab and/or coil-built pottery, we’re sure you will be delighted!
Classes will once again be available for those who have the time to learn, the desire to laugh and play in clay with other adults, and the hope of filling their cabinets with their own precious, hand-made pottery. Our next classes will begin in September. The teachers this year will be Laura Faeo and MaryLou Wilcox. Classes include a 25 lb. bag of clay, instruction on wheel throwing and/or hand building, free studio time during the weeks of classes, and all firings. The cost per person is $250.
