Wildflower Whimsy featuring artist Ashlee Oliver-Frey

On the right wall of our main gallery Ashlee Oliver-Frey will be showing works in her exhibit titled “Wildflower Whimsy“. Ashlee describes herself as a photographer and watercolor artist. She moved to Alaska in 2014 after graduating from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. Although her profession is small animal medicine, she has nurtured a passion for fine art since her youth.

“I live in a small, cedar-sided home tucked in the woods in south-central Alaska surrounded by abundant wildlife and native plants. In recent years I have channeled my passion for the local flora and fauna with my fascination of fantasy into the creation of my artwork.  My favorite mediums to express my artistic nature are Watercolor and Photography. My recent works explore the threshold between the imagination and the bountiful Alaskan landscape, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.”

This First Friday opening reception will coincide with the Tattoo Artists opening reception on Friday August 2nd 5–7 pm. Live music, refreshments, free event and open to the public.
