Exhibition: August 2024
Left Wall of Main Gallery & Back Gallery:
THEN AND NOW–A Look at The Kenai Art Center
Right Wall of Main Gallery :
WILDFLOWER WHIMSY
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are no longer able to show SKIN d’ART. Instead, starting Wednesday July 31st, the left wall of the main gallery will be showing THEN AND NOW: A Look at the Kenai Art Center. KAC legend explains that when the KAC ceiling was being replaced, a large dusty black binder was discovered lodged above the ceiling tiles. This binder contains historic documents, photos, show programs, exhibition posters and correspondence relating to the KAC dating back to the 1960s. We have on display some of this history combined with work by local artists who have been influenced by the Kenai Art Center throughout the years. This show is continued in the back gallery.
Originally, Ashlee Oliver-Frey was scheduled to show in the back gallery, but we’ve brought her fantastic work up front and her show WILDFLOWER WHIMSY now livens up the right side of our main gallery with her colorful and fanciful depictions of wildflowers and other creations.
