Thor Evenson

Thor Evenson was born in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1947. Thor and his parents homesteaded and commercial fished in Kenai in 1955. Thor graduated from Kenai Central High School in 1965, in 1969 received his B.A. in Art from Grinnell College, Iowa, and then in 1974 a Masters of Architecture from University of Washington.

Thor had the opportunity to travel and live in Portugal, Boston, Europe, Delaware, Hawaii. At this time Thor lives in Anchorage with his son Taylor who helps him in his commercial fishing business in the summer.

Thor is currently working as an Architectural Design Consultant, ventures into drawing and painting, and in the summer he becomes the Commercial Fisherman.
