Small to Biggs
Celebrating a photographic journey in two parts
Take a 3D virtual gallery tour here:
Opening Reception: March 3rd, 5-7 pm
Small to Biggs is the celebration of an artistic journey expressed in two separate parts. In honor of her own photographic beginnings, curator Sue Biggs asked to revive “Small Shots,” a show concept started in 2004 by photographer William Heath that ran for many years as an annual favorite. It was created to allow new photographers a chance to display their work on an equal footing with established photographers. It was through “Small Shots” that Sue displayed her first images back in 2009.
Sue has also curated a unique collection of works integrating some of her images with the works of various photographers who have mentored or inspired her in her photographic journey. Though it is only a small representation of the immense community support and inspiration given over the last twelve years, this exhibit is Sue’s opportunity to thank, and to celebrate, an amazing Alaskan art community.
