Ed Whetstone Hutchinson

I paint with oils to express a world proffered through my mind’s eye.

I get pleasure from the smell of linseed oil in the paint and feeling the interaction of brush and palette knife on the canvas.

I enjoy flowing paint on the canvas and creating natural shadows and fractals with special drying techniques.

I place a semi-precious gemstone in each painting to attract attention and intrigue the viewer.

I seek to be a provocateur for those who view my paintings, causing them to have their own unique experiences in response to what they see.
