Heather Floyd

Heather Floyd studied Fine Arts and received a Bachelor’s in Art History from the University of Cincinnati. She was introduced to blacksmithing, metalworking and the process of shaping ideas through sculpture.  She moved to Alaska in 2001 and after a long focus in the practical art of homebuilding, her energies returned to the creative realm. In 2015, she opened Makelift Studio where she continues to design and create art and home goods that reflect the beauty of nature.

Heather believes in the importance of creativity and community.  She is excited to serve on the PAG board and enjoys working with fellow board members, artists and patrons to expand the practice & appreciation of the arts in our community.
