The KAC will have new gallery flooring in 2023

We are excited to share that our gallery carpet is no more! Thanks to a generous grant from the Rasmuson Foundation, we are able to make yet another improvement to our historic building, with the goal of bringing our community a better and better gallery experience. Jon Boehmler at Pro Grind Alaska has been hard at work grinding and polishing the concrete, and we can’t wait to see everyone on the first First Thursday of 2023! Opening reception is 5-7pm, January 5th.

The main gallery will feature installation and performance art by Diane Dunn, and the rear gallery will feature a retrospective of Ann-Lillian Schell, curated by Zirrus VanDevere.
